Salvation Mountain

"It is not an ordinary mountain and the man who built it is not an ordinary man. The mountain is called Salvation Mountain and the man who built it is named Leonard Knight."

well, do you love hiking? if you do, i suggest you to hike this mountain. Unfortunately, you are not allowed camping on or in the mountain. They will ask you to leave soon when it gets dark. But, they will provide you camping areas adjacent to its boundaries. And dont worry guys, for those who don't like hiking. I bet you're gonna love it. Because, it is not an ordinary mountain like other mountains. why? you wont be tired as long as you hike this mount because along the road you're gonna be amazed with the hand made art. Salvation Mountain is such a must visit-place before you die!

this is Leonard Knight, 81 years old and he's a cool man. Knight has been painting the mountain for 25 years. he did something amazing for the rest of his life.

California Senator, Barbara Boxer described it as "A unique and visionary sculpture, national treasure, profoundly strange and beautifully accessible and worthy of the international acclaim it receives" Therefore, in 2000 the Folk Art Society of America declared it "a folk art site worthy of preservation and protection" and they made a website for those who want to take an action to become this part of salvation mountain and want to take care and preserve by donate fund, you're very welcomed to visit this site .
